Lithology and Thickness
According to D.A. Starshinin, are represented by brown, pale-brown, and gray conglomerates and sandstones. The size of the fragments increases from bottom to top in the section and from the center to the periphery of the depression. The incomplete thickness of the deposits reaches 1000 m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
They lie conformably on the red-colored rocks of the Miocene
Upper contact
Unconformably overlain by the lower Quaternary formations
Regional extent
They are widespread in the southern part of the Turkestan region and in the Zeravshan-Gissar region. This is correlated with Bactrian Gr of Ferghana.
